101 – Taipei – Taiwan

The Taipei 101 skyscraper, located in the capital of Taiwan, is one of the most iconic and majestic buildings in the world. Standing at 508 meters tall, it was the tallest building in the world from 2004 to 2010, until the completion of the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. The design of Taipei 101 is inspired by the shape of bamboo, a symbol of strength and prosperity in Chinese culture. The building consists of 101 floors above ground, housing a shopping mall, offices, and an observation deck offering breathtaking views of the city. Additionally, a massive spherical damper inside helps maintain the building’s stability against strong winds and earthquakes.
